Had planned another UFO tutorial this month, but Total Knee Replacement surgery intervened. Keeping it moving is the secret to a successful surgery, or so I am told. Almost three weeks and I am happy with the results. Thank goodness My Happy Place Row was finished before the surgery, haven’t had much time for quilting. Maybe there will be two tutorials next month.
Since I have a Bernina I am on their email list. This binding tutorial is very complete and thought I would at least share this with you even if I can’t get my tutorial out there. Sometimes you learn something new even if you have done it a lot!
Where has the summer gone! Where has the YEAR gone! Time to start thinking about making Christmas presents! Instead, I am thinking about My Happy Place. The Row Along starts on September 4.
Scroll down to see who is participating. No links yet, but I will post the links on that day and update them as we go along.
Received this photo from Kelley who purchased the Waggly Tail pattern to make a pillow for her niece. Seeing finished items made from my patterns is very fulfilling! Think outside the box. You don’t have to make the whole pattern, use it to make something else. Others have made pillows as well. Another quilter used the pattern as a replacement for a cat block in a quilt she was making. She preferred dogs to cats!
Mary H. sent some more of her finished projects! Love seeing what she comes up with each month.
Please post pix of your UFOs. It can be done at the bottom of the page. Remember I said I was going to collect the names of all those who shared UFO’s for a drawing? You can also get your name in, just post before and after pictures of something you finished or pictures of finished appliqué blocks from this website! They will be shared here on the blog.
