This is a first for me, THREE blocks done in one month, H, I and J!  Yes, I and J are simpler and more streamlined than the other letters, but still it kept my fingers busy and a little sore!  I try to use a thimble, but most of the time, I prefer not to, which is not a good idea with constant appliquéing!  Tried those little stick on thimblepads, trouble is I kept sticking them in the wrong spot, I would press with my finger, just missing the thimblepad!

As well as keep the needle flying, I have finished the designs for the rest of this year, so I am hoping to keep the momentum going and get K, L and M finished way before December. i_block_finDo these look like daffodils to you?  To me too, BUT they are also called jonquils, since we needed a flower for J, so jonquils is it!  Still have to embroider the name, but otherwise it is done!j_block_finKeep your eye on this blog, because on September 6, the “Road Home” Row Along will be released.  At least 41 designers from around the world are involved.  There are free patterns for the rows as well as prizes of all kinds! Click on the link in the side bar to learn more about it!

With this posting, the September blocks are also available at the Block of the Month Electric Quilt page.  Both I and J are in one PDF.
